DSC_0879

I am so excited to rediscover and share with you this hair removal product, Nad’s!  And it’s perfect timing too since it’s about that time when we will show a little bit more skin. So long winter hairy legs!!! This product is so convenient and easy to use at home, since going to the salon is not only time consuming but it get’s costly as well. Keep reading to find out how to stay smooth for summer.

The History

Nad’s is an Australian brand! It was created by Sue Ismiel in her kitchen, for her daughters unwanted hair. It’s a gel wax that’s hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested. I first used Nad’s when I was 16 years old.  I went into my locally Rite Aid pharmacy and decide to buy this wax because  it stated that no heat was required. It was so simple to use and it didn’t even hurt.  This product left my skin, hair free and smooth. I rediscovered it now because my mother remembered she liked the products. She wanted to use it again. So I decide to look for it and I found this kit in a beauty supply store called Harmon’s. Since 8 years ago this line has grown so much, but I will get back to the other products this line offers.

The Kit

The kit I purchased was the Natural hair removal Gel kit.  You can use it on your legs, underarms, bikini and face. It includes the gel wax, 6 application spatulas, 4 pre wax cleansing wipes, a moisture soothing body balm and 10 cotton cloth backing strips. The cotton strips are my favorite thing because you can simply wash away the wax and REUSE THEM!!!

How to use

I mainly use the wax for my underarms and legs, I also like to exfoliate before I wax, I use DermaDoctor’s KP Duty body scrub. This exfoliator is the best one I have used so far but more on that in another post. Even though the wax states it requires no heat because it works with your body’s heat. I find that it spreads the best when you heat the gel for no more than 10 seconds in the microwave. If you want to see exactly how to use it, see my tutorial by  clicking here!
