What To Know About Beauty Pie And How To Join

How I discovered Beauty Pie?

The first time I saw Beauty Pie, was through… you probably already guessed it, Instagram! I kept seeing their ad pop up on my feed and decided to check it out! I mean who wouldn’t buy luxury beauty products at factory prices?! You see, the beauty world is extremely saturated with tons of brands, but there are only a few cosmetics labs in the world that can create the beauty products they sell! These brands purchase the items from the labs at a fraction of the price they sell them for! Now I am no math expert but this Pi sounds like a delicious piece of savings lol. To get the most savings, becoming a Beauty Pie member is your best option! Below is more on how it works and my honest review on my first order.

How does the membership work?

At this point you might be asking yourself, ok Shey, what’s the catch? No catch, but there is a monthly membership fee. Think of it kind of like Costco, where you pay a fee to be a member in order to buy at discounted prcies. The amount you choose for your monthly membership fee will determine your spending limit each month. I choose the $20 a month membership which gives me a $200 allowance to shop. Now here is where it can get a little confusing, the $200 allowance is calculated on the market price, it’s not what you will actually end up paying.

For example, on my last order in May, I spent $61.36 dollars on 7 beauty products, which in any department store would have been around $200.On their website, they show you the market price vs what it actually cost to make the product. The only couple of things I would caution you on is, first if you want to return a product you will have to pay for shipping. Second, unfortunately they do not give samples. Lastly, there is a 3 month minim membership requirement. Beauty Pie is constantly launching new beauty products each month, so you won’t ever run out of options! This concept is already taking the beauty world by storm.

First Beauty Pie purchases Review

I was super excited for my first order! I ordered a few skincare products, below are the items and my honest opinion on them, let’s begin!

Fruitizyme Five Minute Facial

Fruitizyme is my favorite product from this order! For a while I searched for an exfoliator that is both physical and chemical! Search is over, this is it!! It’s gentle but effective, when I first applied it, I noticed a tingly sensation but after washing it off I noticed smoother skin. It has AHA like Glycolic acid and SaIicylic acid, which works above the skin’s surface to remove dead skin cells. It also has gentle quarts and bamboo scrubs, I would definitely recommend this and will repurchase for sure!

Uber Volume Boost Mascara

I was not impressed with this mascara the first couple of times I used it – It didn’t give my lashes that glam effect I get from other mascaras. But after a few uses, I noticed that the bristles on one side were longer than the other, from then on I used the side with the longer bristles and it made a huge difference! I believe depending on your lash size determines the side to use in order to get the best results. The formula is good and not flaky, it stays on even after a workout.

Awesome Bronze Self Tan Mousse-Deep Bronze

For the most part, self tanners have that unbearable smell. This one uses Aromaguard technology to get rid of that smell, but it still smells like a self tanner with fragrance. It’s a decent size of 8.1 fl oz but the color pay off is not as dark as I would have hoped for! The color is definitely more on the organey side. The formulation is sticky and it takes a while to dry, it will stain your clothes but the stains come out once you wash them.

Super Retinol Ceramide-Boost Anti-Aging Serum & Superactive Capsules Pure Double Vitamine C & Vitamin E

I grouped these 2 products together because I didn’t use them enough to discuss their effectiveness. When I started to use them my skin was flaring up with red bumps, so I decided to stop using them until the fall. I was using the retinol at night and the vitamin C in the morning before my moisturizer. What I can say is that I really liked the way the products were dispensed. Especially the Vitamin C, which comes in ampules and in a glass jar. This helps to stabilize the vitamin C and keep its effectiveness. Both formulations felt great on the skin, the serum was more like a lotion and the vitamin C felt velvety. I will provide an update once I start using them again.
