7 Makeup Trends For Fall 2021

As much as we probably don’t want to say goodbye to summer, we have AUTUMN to look forward to! This season brings beautiful scenery, cozy weather and makeup trends to get excited about!!

The fall 2021 makeup trends are a return to glamour with the classic deep red lipstick and a big emphasis on mascara and brows. Yet, some of the trends like soap brows and electric shadows are a new and fun way to update your makeup look.

Listed below are the products used and tips on how to create these fall makeup looks.

Get creative and let me know which one you are excited to try!

The Kitten Eye

A cat eye is a classic makeup look but the “Kitten eye” is the newest way to wear it. This is a subtle eye look for any eye shape. Start your liner in the center of your eye instead of tracing all the way from the inner corner. Then use short, thin strokes to draw along your lash line, and give it a tiny flick at the end for an understated wing.

Loaded Lashes

This season the emphasis is still mostly on the eyes! For the loaded lashes effect, choose a mascara with a formula that is very black and thick. Apply at least two coats to the top and bottom. Shimmy and fan the brush up and through the lashes, coating each strand well. This will help you achieve the desired effect without it becoming clumpy.

Fall Lipstick

On the lips, a deep plum or a red wine lipstick is always on trend for fall. Below you will see some of the NEWEST shades to hit the stores this season!  And if you can’t decide which undertone or shade of red to choose, read my quick guide on how to do just that, by clicking here.

Graphic Liner

The graphic liner looks intimidating at first glance but with some practice you will master it.

This unique makeup look was popularised by famous model Twiggy in the 1960’s. It has been trending since the summer and it’s transitioning into the fall as well. A few tips for this look is firstly to prepare the eyelid with primer. Secondly, add concealer and if you are applying a colored eyeshadow, apply it first followed by the eye liner. Lastly, if you mess up, use a concealer or a  Q-tip with micellar water to clean up the spot.

Glowy Dewy Skin

Glowy, dewy and healthy skin is what has been trending for a few seasons. The beauty world has moved away from the heavy matte makeup look. And while the best way to get glowing skin is by eating a balanced diet, stressing less and sleeping 8 hours, these are things that are not possible for some. Below are some amazing products to help achieve that dewy skin look.

Natural Brows

One of the simplest ways to frame the face is with a full brow shape. However, the technique to get this look is easy as compared to the previous brow looks. This look is more natural and less structured. It’s described as the feathered or soap brow, since some actually use a bar of soap to hold the hair in place. You can achieve this look  without your Dove bar soap. Simply fill in your brow in the areas where needed. Then brush your brows upward with any product you choose, such as a clear brow gel or brow wax.

Electric Shadows

If you want to change up seasons’ classic colors like the browns, deep reds just add a pop of color! That pop can easily be added by applying a colored eyeshadow. It doesn’t have to be too complicated either, just swipe a shadow stick in an electrifying color like fuchsia or turquoise and boom! The only thing I will add will be a dab of powder on top to seal the cream in place. Other than that, be ready to get plenty of compliments on your bold choice of color!
