The Green Edit

I was inspired to write THE GREEN EDIT because green is one of the colors I feel a connection with and wanted to understand why. Whether we realize it or not color plays a huge role in our lives. It’s a nonverbal way of communicating on a subconscious level. And the colors we choose to wear say a lot about our personality and or the image we want to project.

A Quick Insight Of The Psychology of Color 

Color psychology is the study of how colors affect our perceptions and behaviours1. Colors can create certain moods and even influence the decisions we make!

While perceptions of color are subjective. Since culture and life experience can influence how we feel towards certain colors. There are some color effects that have universal meaning. 

There is a reason why when we wear the perfect shade of red lipstick, we are more confident. Red is the universal color to signify strength, power and courage.

The psychology of Green 

Out of all the colors on the color wheel, green is the most restful and relaxing color for the human eye. It’s associated with growth and renewal. It promotes optimism, hopefulness, and balance.2 Green represents freshness, nature, and health.

According to “colorpsychology.org” Green personality types tend to be analytical, calm, and logical. They also have a great thirst for knowledge. Perhaps these are the reasons why, I gravitate towards green!! Some these traits describe me but I take it with a grain of salt, since it’s just a theory after all.
